Adore Me’s Lingerie Contest

When talking about fashion + style, who wants to talk about bras, lingerie and undergarments?! Well, me, I do! As I am a wardrobe stylist. I’m not too keen on telling my clients to get better undergarments though, even if I know they dreadfully need it! So, I have to make myself! But having a well fitting bra/lingerie can pretty much be the best thing ever, outfit wise! Seriously, what’s better than having perky boobs? And better posture. And you appear thinner. and an all around a better stature. Count me in. But unfortunately, women don’t always take time finding/fitting bras into consideration, when shopping, even if it makes you look and feel your sexiest + best! And makes your outfit look better than if you had an old saggy bra.

Adore Me is currently running a giveaway until Friday, April 15th. I was contacted to enter. I think you should too! You could win 2 sets of lingerie, all you have to do is photograph a flat-lay of your favorite outfit. Complete with accessories, shoes, basically anything you love to pair with your outfits! Like @Adoreme‘s profile on Instagram and post a flat lay pic of how your perfect outfit looks like, tag @adoreme, and hashtag #everydaylingerie to enter.

What I bought in: February

February was a good, good month. From purchasing, to receiving to favoriting. All wonderful. I’m going to miss my birthday month, but onto March, which will be another great month for the books!

‘Somebunny loves you’ hand towels. These are for my bathroom. Mainly for Easter, but I’ll use all year round. They’re from Tj Maxx.
Glass picture frames. These are for framing the Rifle paper co. cards… I like the utilitarian vibe it has. These are from Hobby lobby.
Rifle Paper Co. Notecards: 2 New York, 1 Kentucky Derby; here, here + here. I bought these for 3-4 reasons such as: NYC has my heart. I’m from Kentucky. These are for framing and I love rifle paper co.
Neiman Marcus Gold Arrowhead necklace. This necklace is perfect for a layering piece and just a touch of bohemian.
J.crew jeweled necklace. This may end up being a gift. But I really liked it as a layering piece as well. The geometric shape is my jam!
Kendra Scott necklace extenders in gold & rose gold; similar. These I needed for two of my necklaces I received for my birthday.
Maybelline New York color tattoo metal in ‘inked in pink’. I needed another color tattoo pot, as I use it as a eye primer for my eye shadow. And I wanted to try the pink. As far as I can tell, I like it!
MAC Cosmetics eye shadow in ‘Hot Paprika’; similar.. This is an eye shadow. Not sure why I thought this was great buy…It is very pigmented. And I like the dusty coral-ness of it. And I like how many looks I can create with it.
Bite Beauty lip duo in Marmalade/Confection. This also might be a gift… But you know that I have a thing for Bite beauty lipsticks. It’s no secret, really.
Hedgehog gold leather coasters. These are coasters are rad! I think I’m going to use these year round!
Marvis Toothpaste in Cinnamon mint. This stuff is amazeballs! In terms of a healthier, no fluoride in it. And it makes teeth whiter + squeaky clean.
Madewell socks; Similar. I have a thing for cute socks. And Madewell socks are made, well, well! I fancy them!
• Wood diamond. This was just cool. I found it in Austin Texas in a Tj Maxx! Perfect for jewelry.
Aerie Underwear. Aerie is my all time favorite underwear company!!! And I bought 6 pair.
•Kirkland camisoles (not pictured) these are my all time favorite camisoles. I wear camisoles almost everyday and these are the best. Sooo comfortable!

And there you have it another month down! Another month ahead! See ya next month for what I bought in March!

What I received for my Birthday + V-day!

My birthday was on the 10th of February! I turned 28. {Eek! in a good way of course! ;)} And I received a load of fun + pretty things from my family(thanks so much, I love it all!) + companies!(i.e. Ulta + Sephora)
{I will say, the older you get the more the presents cost and the fewer you receive… But I’m not mad about it!}

Here are my gifts!

Live FashionABLE Tedesse bucket bag in black. It’s a great
Photoshop elements 14. Im so happy with this program. I still have a bunch yet to learn, but so thankful to have it!
Amika black obliphica styler. First off, how cute is the print of this flat iron?! So cute, I’d say! And secondly, it works well, even before I get my hair cut and give up halfway through straightening my hair because I have such thick and long hair!
Brooklyn street style book. I bought this book with money I received from my grandma… I’m loving this read. I’m always down for style books and this one is pretty great!
Tarte mini lipsticks (no longer available). This is the only part of my gifts from my parents that I didn’t know about! Hah! Did I mention too, that when you get older, you may know about your gifts. But speaking of these lipsticks, they’re sheer. But super pretty. If it’s for everyday daytime wear, they’re great!

(Counter clockwise)
Kendra Scott “Elisa” necklace in rose gold + pyrite. My mama gave me money for this necklace, as I did get 50% off for my birthday! Plus, I got to customize my necklace. I love it!
E.Leigh’s brass ball earrings. These were actually from the boutique E.Leigh’s for signing up with their e-club. You get a free pair of earrings on you birthday!
Tartelette 2 in bloom palette. Ugh! I’m loving this palette more + more. I keep finding new combinations to pair up with. Every shade is beautiful!
French Kande necklace; medallion. This has a funny story, as I saw this at a sample sale. And I thought it was 75% off of the sale price. Nope, it was actually just 75% off the original price! So my mama bought it for me anyway! And that was back in August!
Marc Jacobs highliner gel crayon. This eyeliner is sooo smooth and is the blackest black. I like to smudge it.
Marc Jacobs lipstick in Kiss kiss bang bang. This is pretty rose shade. A bit drying but not too bad.
Marc Jacobs velvet noir major volume mascara. I’m not sure why I added this mascara with my Bday haul. As I didn’t get it for my birthday, but then again, I may buy a tube as a birthday present to myself. This is my FAVORITE! I’ll do a review soon…
Formula X nail polish in Obsessed. Again not technically a birthday gift, as much as cashing in some sephora points… Lack of sleep, I guess.
Illamasqua nail varnish in Pink Raindrops. This is the prettiest nail varnish… in the bottle. Unfortunately, not an easy nail varnish to use. It’s a bit thick, but I think I’ll use a couple drops of acetone to thin it and it should be good. But I love the name – pink raindrops!
Benefit rollerlash mascara. Um, I have mixed feelings about this mascara. I’ll keep using it. But I love Marc’s more!
Estella Bartlett London Bird necklace. I first swooned over this necklace in Austin, when it was still $48. Then I went to anthropologie and it was $29.95. And I was going to just bite the bullet and purchase with my birthday 15% off discount. But then, I went into Anthro on my birthday and it was $29.95 with 40% off!!! Of course I bought it! And I was able to buy it with birthday money I received from my sister + brother in law!!! I love it!

Tartelette 2 in bloom, my favorite shades are: leader, smokeshow, rebel, sweetheart + flower child.
Tarte lipsticks: (from top to bottom) Sangria, Punch, Mimosa + bellinni
Marc Jacobs lipstick + eyeliner: Kiss kiss bang bang(lipstick) & Blacquer(liner)

Speaking of blooms, I received some pretty flowers too.

And the here’s what I received for V-day from my parents!

Dusk by Herban Cowboy cologne. This stuff smells like a man, and yet stillhas a slight feminine smell to it. I like how I can smell it throughout the day!
Bite matte créme lip crayon in blood orange. This lip color is soooo pretty! It’s a bright reddish-orange and even smells like it too. I really like the crayon!

It’s my birthday week!!! And I thought what better way to celebrate, than to talk about February’s birthstone… When I was growing up, I would go through phases of whether I liked amethyst or not. And now, I’m 50/50 about it. I like it. Is amethyst my all time favorite gemstone? Not neccesarily. But I do like how amethyst isn’t just the light lilac color, it has a whole range of hues. Thank goodness,  I much prefer dark to light. As you can tell with my clothes as well… Wink wink! I always have like April’s birthstone (diamond) and November’s (opal)…

This past Sunday, I went with some ladies to a movie. As we were hanging around, two of the ladies started complimenting each other and how great they each looked. and how weird it was that coral looked good on each of them. Then I had to but in, had to! And tell them that coral is a universal color. It looks good on almost any skin coloring. And it looks really good paired with almost any color!

I asked Google this question: why do so many humans look good in the coral color? Which of course, Google didn’t know the answer to.
But they did give me that the coral, is derived from the coral in the sea, which is a one tone specimen, it has many tones & shades to it.
We’ll just say the pinkish/organgey color has a way with peoples skin tones. Unlike any other color, this color compliments your skin tone and brightens up ones face. And the awesome thing is that there is more than one shade.
Yes these are paint swatches, but they apply to clothing too. You have to see which coral color works for you. Overall, the color is universal, but you may not like a super bright coral, as opposed to a more muted coral color. As long as you stick to the coral family, you can never go wrong.

But if you are weary of the commitment to color, you can always do your norm of neutrals and add accessories of coral to your outfits. Think about shoes, bags, jewelry, scarves, lipstick… And anything closest to your face, will brighten your face & and add a youthful glow to it.

You got this, Ryn

Style find: what about west egg?

Have y’all heard of West Egg? Yeah, me neither!
I found out about them, when they contacted me. I was a bit skeptical at first. I wasn’t sure what they were about, but I clicked the link and I was pleasantly surprised. They have many brands that I love, like Anthropologie, Nordstrom & Daniel Wellington watches. That are definitely discounted, say 20%-80% off retail value. Niiiiice! And it’s all current things. At first I was thinking it was resale, but no, it’s not, it’s off the rack items. Just nicely discounted.
Now they are small in inventory, but the company seems small. But as you and I begin to shop from them, I’m sure that in no time they with become bigger & better, for sure!
Right now they carry purses, jewelry & accessories. Not going to lie, I went on their website thinking they sell shoes, to quickly finding out they don’t. I was bummed needless to say! Ha! But they have other great things, so it kinda made up for it! Oh and did I mention, that they have both women’s & men’s items on there? Yes they do, so not only did I find some things on the women’s side, but also on the men’s too. Borrowing from the boys, eh?

I even wanted to show you some things that struck my fancy, you ready? Okay! Here goes:
